Several of the examples show strange behaviors on the Mac version. If the example has a menu, it replaces the SketchUp menu, and then never goes away. Windows without a menu bar work fine.
I have also observed this with "Minimal wxRuby App" (Mac OS X 10.6.2 and Sketchup 7.1). My feeling is that this dialog box has menus and therefore it tries to place them on the Mac menubar. However, this then wipes out the Mac menu for Sketchup. I would suggest removing this example from the distribution.
Now... if I can just work out how to Quit and restart Sketchup... cmd-Q doesn't work, nor does the Quit from the dock... hmmm...
