some tools that run fine under 0.24 now do not return from system calls
and the wx app freezes.
i also could not update to 0.54 because test do fail with comments like:
Use of uninitialized value in numeric ge (>=) at
C:/Programme/Code/Perl/cpan/build/Wx-0.56/build/Wx/build/MakeMaker/Win32_MSVC.pm
line 25.
maybe ms nmakes fault but i think ireturn for a while to 0.24 where
system call did go.
