It is/was my fault: there is an error in Wx::CheckListBox;
use
Wx::CheckListBox( $parent, $id, $pos, $size, $items, 0x0100 );
This will be fixed the proper way in 0.08 ( that I'll put out
as sook as wxWIndows 2.2.8 is out )
