I'm completely lost as to why the mac is behaving like this.

I saw a post on the wxGlade list that wxPython2.8 is rumored to be part 
of the OS X Leopard 10.5 release.  Currently wxPerl 0.22 is part of OS X 
1.4 (which is actually a pain to work around when trying to release 
pre-packaged apps that need a newer version of wxPerl).  Does anyone 
know if a newer version of wxPerl will be making it into OS X 10.5?  
Just curious.

  Which locale are you using (please paste the output of the "locale"
command)?

in wxperl_demo.pl when looking at the wxHtmlListBox demo

This was true for the stable Wx and for the new release candidate. I 
checked - both times the unicode release is being used.

Also the problem occurs with Wx demos. I will cross post there too. But 
I wondered if anyone here has come across the problem, or how to solve it.

I used ubuntu edgy.

Version 0.64 won't compile on Windows XP with Visual Studio 2003 from cpan.

I ran "install Wx" from cpan on XP and I got this error:

Hi all,

I have a need to build appbundles on the mac, but was finding the 
PerlWrapper process a bit lacking when in comes to fitting into 
dotReader's automated cross-platform build system.

Introducing the Module::Build::Plugins::MacBundle and ExtUtils::MacMaker 
modules.

This was only started a few days ago, so I'm still in the process of 
defining how we control the behavior for variations on the build.  
Currently, it takes the first thing (in glob order) out of your bin/ 
directory or whatever is explicit as "main_pl_file => 'foo'" in your 
Build->new parameters.

It uses Module::ScanDeps to bundle all of your dependencies and 
otool/install_name_tool to discover and rewrite all of the references 
in a bundled libperl.dylib and any .bundle dependencies and 
related .dylibs.  By default, the resultant appbundle will run on an 
os-x without perl.

I'm building on 10.4.8 and have tested the resultant .app on a bare 
10.3.9 mac.

It was a huge headache to figure out how to get it to play nice with the 
finder.  I will never forgive apple for the last couple days of 
searching their documentation and unnecessarily convoluted C hacking 
just to get hold of what should be in argv[1].  Currently, this ignores 
argv, so doesn't work from the command line.  I think that could be 
fixed by looking at the "looks like a process number" -p4558 (or 
whatever it is) and changing behavior based on that, but this is meant 
to work with the gui more than with the command line, so that's pretty 
low priority for me.

In any case, now you can get the filename(s?) that the user selected or 
dropped on your app as long as your main_pl_file includes a 
main::main() sub.  If you don't have main::main, the behavior is the 
same as the old PerlWrapper.

Documentation is a bit sparse for now.  Please see the demo directory in 
the repository, read the code, and/or poke around in the resultant 
blib/macbuild/build/Default/YourAppName.app.

If someone is interested in using ExtUtils::MacMaker for a different 
build system or some command-line tools, I would love to hear about it.

Anyone with more Mac/C experience than me might find some atrocities in 
main.c, etc.  Please send patches.

I so had to do it in pink, I had done my bedroom in pink back when I was
a teenager. In fact, thanksgiving should be a continual attitude in our
lives. She told me about a series of books called Silver Blades. I still
can't quite get over just how huge it is! This past year was an exciting

I'm in the process of power paying down my credit card debt, so I may be
able to "work like I don't need the money", and hope that when that time
comes, I don't "quit like I don't need the job" LOL. So now I get to

  I do not know if it is a bug or a feature, but it needs to be
reported to a wxWidgets forum.

  Just add:

use Wx::Help;

to your script.

When using keyboard shortcuts in menus, (eg "&About\tCtrl-A"), the 
Ctrl-A works fine when using the app, but if you display the menu (using 
Alt keys, or the mouse), the Ctrl-A event either won't fire or is

Just a note on the diff for wxGridER.pm

The Wx::Grid->SetReadOnly() method takes its params in an odd order (Y
axis first), so I changed the code from

$this->SetReadOnly( $x, $y );

to

$this->SetReadOnly( $y, $x, 1 ); # cols, rows

The comments I added, intended to clarify the odd order - are in fact
wrong and should be

$this->SetReadOnly( $y, $x, 1 ); # rows, cols

I seem to have rendered renderer as Renederer. (in subject :-)  )

Also updated demo modules for new grid renderers - diff attached.

Also - on wxMSW, setting the font explicitly in a custom handler seems
to get rid of some font rendering nastiness.

Wx::GridCellAutoWrapStringRenderer  does not seem to be wrapped. I'm
just having a crack at wrapping it.

What platform are you developing on?
Do you compile your own wxPerl?

Wx::GridCellAutoWrapStringRenderer
Wx::GridCellAutoWrapStringEditor
Wx::GridCellEnumRenderer
Wx::GridCellEnumEditor
Wx::GridCellDateTimeRenderer

prototypes are:

Wx::GridCellAutoWrapStringRenderer->new();
Wx::GridCellAutoWrapStringEditor->new();
Wx::GridCellEnumRenderer->new(choices = wxEmptyString);
Wx::GridCellEnumEditor->new(choices = wxEmptyString);
	(choices = comma delimited list ?)
Wx::GridCellDateTimeRenderer::new(outformat = wxDefaultDateTimeFormat,
informat = wxDefaultDateTimeFormat);

There are Win32 PPMs including these at

missing.

I cant seem to find a way to do this, either for Gtk2-perl or wxPerl.

In the wxWidgets forum I have found reference to
