A web designer volunteered to create the UI, and did the logos and buttons. Actually trying to create a "funkier" looking UI was another design goal, just because everything except MP3 players and graphics programs (well, Kai's Power Tools) all look like today's cars do, boxes on wheels. I wish there were more beetles roaming around the desktop ;-) Wx will soon let you use shaped windows I think, at least I read that it's in CVS. (Btw, did you know the beetle was designed by Ferdinand Porsche? An interesting design case the beetle. Basically it got 15 years of beta testing.) Thanks, Marcus |
