The GTK version one in Debian 3.0. wxGTK is statically linkes, hence you
don't need any.

If it was Wx::ComboBox, this was a wxPerl (not wxWindows) problem,
and it is solved in wxPerl 0.12b2.

I am afraid that this is the only answer: there were just too many changes
from wxWindows 2.2.9 to 2.3.x.

I am afraid this does not help...
