I've written some code you can cut and paste to create a recent files
menu. There are also two snippets on how to use the Tip provider.

They are on the wxPerl Cookbook page I set up a while ago:

This is just meant for cut and paste type snippets. You can add your
own recipes, and leave comments. It's totally simple to use.
