[wxperl-users] Linux: dialogs.pl error wx::FontData

I just installed v. 0.10 on Linux/perl 5.6.0.
Running the dialogs.pl sample I get the following error (and a crash)
after selecting the font dialog:
cannot locate ...method "New" via wx::FontData at line 220

Any ideas what is wrong?
Is FontData simply not implemented yet?
