I went back and re-checked the tar.gz file for the PPD distribution and
sure enough the wxWindows .dll is there. For some reason the PPD install
didn't bring it over ... I deleted my previously compiled .dll and now it
works like a charm, my thanks for your help.

Hhm, it is distributed in the PPM, and should be in:
\site\lib\auto\Wx\ after installation
If it isn't you could just take the Wx-0.07 .tar.gz in the distribution,
and take the DLL from there.
But it should really be installed by ppm when you do
ppm install

You need to compile it with MinGW ( or just compile wxPerl
with MSVC )

Short instructions:
* reinstall with PPM, and remove any wx22_7.dll in your path
* if it does not work report to the list what the error message
  is ( but it really should work... )
