:( it seems to require quite a lot of modifications.
Could you please point me to the prebuilt binary
you use ( if you use a prebuilt one, of course )
so I can test what people use? 

But I need to advise you that full out-of-the-box support
for Cygwin needs to wait the next wxPerl release :(
( which is not far away, though )
