Also I suggest that you take a look at visualWx (which is for windows I
know but you can eventually have a windows box and give it a try ..). That
one is IMHO the best one (despite not free etc).

You can for instance place controls without sizers (x and y) which is good
for fixed size frames like Wizards and so on. I've not found this feature
already in other gui ide but maybe I didnt looked in the correct
direction.

I would also say the price of the effort is worth it.
