[wxMaxima-devel] Accessibility of WXMaxima to the blind using a screen reader

I am blind and use the screen reader JAWS for Windows (from Freedom
Scientific) to access information on my Windows PC.

 

Using my screen reader I am able to work with the Maxima command-line
program.

 

However I was wondering if the WXMaxima GUI interface is accessible with a
screen reader by the blind.  Thus far I have not ben able to work
successfully with this interface.

 

If anyone else has any suggestions or tips for running WXMaxima with a
screen reader please let me know.  This could be a powerful tool for blind
people who need to perform symbolic math calculations.
