This doesn't seem like a very active forum, but I thought I would ask the following just on the off-chance some kind and knowledgeable person might be listening.
Is it possible to simplify a difference of products when they have common factors?
In particular, attached in the next message is a definition of the forward difference of a factorial polynomial. I was hoping to get it in reduced form, but haven't been successful yet.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
