Unfortunately I am very busy at the moment. Perhaps I should wait a little before I announce this project. Anyway since I don't think that I am the only one with this idea, I think that we can have a thread about how to start the project.
My basic idea is to transfer code from other projects (from any language) to wxWindows.
For example about the Network Scanner and visualization we can use the Kaboodle project (you can find it at http://kaboodle.sourceforge.net/project\) which is written in Delphi.
About the ping tool I haven't decided yet. I found some code which is using ICMP but I must check other ping-tools first.
