Ouch. I saw "segfault" and I'm assuming "bug"
There are a couple things it may be helpful for you to do
(helpful for us, anyway)
[1] Could you please try this with wxHaskell from darcs?
darcs get http://darcs.haskell.org/wxhaskell
You'll need wxWidgets 2.8 for it, though. I doubt this will fix the
crash, since I haven't seen anything related in the list of changes,
but it's worth a shot.
[2] Also, getting a copy of the repository means that you will be able
to submit a minimal test case. Please create a minimal crashy taskbar
version of the hello world app and put it in the bugs/ directory. You
can use darcs record and darcs send to send it our way. We like
reproducibility :-)
[3] Finally, this sounds like something that's worth a bug report on our
sourceforge tracker.
