[wxhaskell-users] make fails on FreeBSD 5.1

Hi--I'm running FreeBSD 5.1 stable, and whereas the configure script
completes without error, running make gives this error (abridged):

"makefile", line 286: Missing dependency operator
"makefile", line 288: Need an operator
"makefile", line 290: Need an operator
"makefile", line 358: Missing dependency operator

...and so on, down to:

"makefile", line 556: Missing dependency operator
Error expanding embedded variable

Any suggestions would be appreciated;-) Any chance of getting wxHaskell
in the FreeBSD ports sometime?
