The wxHaskell packages on Hackage are not adapted to the latest version of  
GHC yet; you can install the GitHub version with
   git clone https://github.com/wxHaskell/wxHaskell
or download the zip file from the web page with the same address.

Then install the packages from disk in the following order:
   wxdirect wxc wxcore wx
