[wxhaskell-users] WxHaskell on Debian Wheezy with wxWidgets 2.9.4

I am trying to install wxHaskell 0.90.0.1 on Debian Wheezy.

First, I installed wxWidgets 2.9.4:

./configure --enable-mediactrl
make
make install

Then:

cabal install wx

Which results in the following failure:
