Thanks for this tip. Indeed, current Darcs wxhaskell works fine with
wxgtku 2.8 on MDV Cooker. At least, I tried several of the examples and
they worked flawlessly.

I have now pushed this build and killed wxgtk 2.6 in MDV. Yay. :)
