I've a small/moderate sized wxhaskell project going on,
and even now link times are becoming a major headache.

To wit, even linking the TimeFlows.hs that comes with
wxhaskell takes about 34 seconds on my machine: Is
this a wxhaskell issue? (My project takes about 4
minutes to complete linking, compared to about 15
seconds of GHC compilation.)

I'm using ghc 6.0.1, on windows with cygwin, GNU ld
version 2.14.90 20030901.

I've noticed that the memory usage surges upto over
100mb for ld.exe during linking. (I've got 512megs).

Forgot to mention: I've other quite big haskell projects lying
around as well (i.e. non wx-haskell) and ghc has no issues
linking them in a matter of 2-3 seconds. (~5000 loc of Haskell)

I'm going to go ahead and close this, in the hopes that 4 years later, some combination of computers, linkers, or just configuration parameters have shifted so that this no longer happens (or no longer bothers anyone). Please re-open if needed.
