The end of wxDockit, but something to look at...

It's quite clear that none of the developers of wxDockIt (me especially!) have any time to contribute to it any more. Sad? Maybe. But that's life, from my point of view just too many things I've got to do I'm afriad.

I'm still interested in the wx library and community. It's in use at my workplace and lots of people seem to really like wx. Be interesting to see what happens with the advent of Vista.

Anyhow, if you got here looking for a wx docking windows framework all hope is certainly not lost.

I strongly recommend a look at wxAUI:

July 5, 2006 - wxAUI integrated into wxWidgets CVS
"We're happy to announce that wxAUI has recently been integrated into the wxWidgets CVS tree."

Certainly the Win32 demo is very slick indeed and is just what wx has needed for rather too long. Shame it couldn't have been wxDockIt but all I ever wanted was a decent docking framework for wx. Now it looks that finally there is one (not to say wxDockIt wasn't a good try! - thanks to all who have helped/contributed/commented on/.. over the past few years).

Anyway, this is me (Mark) signing off this project as finished. Of course I hope the source code can remain here for a while longer if anyone wants a poke around.

mm.
