That's the sign of a good place holder :) I've just now updated the description (I wasn't subscribed to this thread).
Hi, Regarding the appdata.xml content, I would suggest to update the app description (like removing the "early development stage" part) - but besides that it looks OK. That place holder icon is really ugly :)
Hello, I'm maintaining a flatpak of wxEDID on flathub: https://github.com/flathub/net.sourceforge.wxEDID. Thanks for fixing the crash on Gnome. It would be useful if you could check the appdata.xml file on the repo to make sure your happy with it. It also currently uses a place holder icon and if there's a better option that would be great.

wxgtk2 does not support hidpi. I cannot see the words in the table on my 4k monitor. The easiest way to solve this is do not set default row size and default col size, set col label size and row label size to wxGRID_AUTOSIZE

Thanks Jonathan, I have mslooked this somehow ;) Fixed.
Just a small bug - when opening EDID from path passed as command line argument, the root of the Block Tree is shown as "EDID" instead of the filename.
Released v0.0.20
Another suggestion - can it remember the last directory for file dialog? At the moment it resets every time the dialog is shown to the home directory so I have to keep navigating to the same directory every time I want to save in a directory that isn't the home directory. Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply - anyway Your suggestion is OK - I'll do that. (Added to my TODO list - thanks)
Would be great if you could specify the EDID file to open as an argument to wxEDID.
Hi, LUI Siu Man No problemo - everyone makes mistakes... However, I think that You're right - final executable name indeed should be composed of lower-case letters only, because this is a kind of a "standard" naming convention in the UNIX world. I'm going to change this in future releases, and I've already added this point to my TODO list - thanks. Regards.
Tomasz, I figured out the problem. I type "wxedid" in terminal, and nothing shows up. Well I didn't notice it was case sensitive. I need to to type "wxEDID" in terminal to run the compiled program. I thought I wasn't able to compile to program correctly. Turns out it was my mistake. Thanks for your feedback, or else I doubt I would re-read the terminal output Regards, LUI Siu Man
Hi, LUI Siu Man Attached terminal output (log) shows that the application has been correctly ./confgured, then compiled (make) and then installed as /usr/local/bin/wxEDID. I'm also using Debian10 and I have exactly the same results in the terminal - so, what is Your problem? If You need to change default install directory, use the --prefix option for configure script (run ./configure --help to see full list of options). Regards.
Tomasz Pawlak, I encountered some problem compiling the program, stuck at the part "make" in terminal. I attached the terminal output for you to have a look. I hope you can provide some assistance for the problem. My system is Debian 10, I had installed libwxgtk3.0-dev already. Regards, LUI Siu Man
Why so agressive ? ;) Apparrently, there was some technical issue, because I didn't see any tickets, so I've just removed the tab... I don't care about Your e-mail address at all - You can use some fake e-mail account or just pastebin.com (then You can just post the link) Regards, ... and keep cool :)
Dude, I've attached the EDID to the ticket… I'm not going to send you an email, because my email address is none of your business. Do as you please, I'll just use some other program.

Removed "Tickets" tab: 1. After reading the ticket system docs, I've came to the conclusion that it's only good for dev teams - but not for a single developer, who has no time for handling it. 2. DanMan have reported a bug, but He failed to provide any details and apparently He is not willing to send me that "mysterious" EDID dump which is supposedly crashing the program (supposedly, because I've tested this app with tens of EDID dumps without experiencing any problems, so it looks like the DanMan's...
Hi, Thank You for reporting the issue, but I can't help without having that edid dump. AFAIN, EDID dumps are not a subject to "know how" or "intellectual property" protection, so please send that EDID dump to me or just use pastebin.com I've enabled the ticket system on sourgeforge.net, but to be honest, I haven't yet figured out how to properly configure and use it... Please keep in mind that this is a "free time" project - I have very limited resources (in terms of time and available hardware)...
Well, then why haven't you enabled the ticket system on the project? I've got an EDID dump here that crashes the program.
