Hi, The wxcode.com domain used to work to get to wxcode.sf.net, but it doesn't anymore. Was the domain lost? It doesn't really bother me at all, just something I noticed recently. I have actually had wxcode.org registered for 5 years now and properly forwarding to the site (which I am willing to setup officially or transfer if needed btw). Regards, Bryan Petty |

Hi Bryan, > The wxcode.com domain used to work to get to wxcode.sf.net, but it > doesn't anymore. Was the domain lost? I searched the whois database at InterNIC and got the following result: Domain Name: WXCODE.COM Registrar: GODADDY.COM, INC. Whois Server: whois.godaddy.com Referral URL: http://registrar.godaddy.com Name Server: NS63.DOMAINCONTROL.COM Name Server: NS64.DOMAINCONTROL.COM Status: clientDeleteProhibited Status: clientRenewProhibited Status: clientTransferProhibited Status: clientUpdateProhibited Updated Date: 15-jan-2011 Creation Date: 04-apr-2006 Expiration Date: 04-apr-2012 So the domain is still registered. I checked also the wxCode project's VHOST configuration at SourceForge: wxcode.com and www.wxcode.com are listed as VHOSTs I have no idea what's going wrong. > It doesn't really bother me at all, just something I noticed > recently. I never used the wxcode.com URL myself, so it doesn't bother me either. > I have actually had wxcode.org registered for 5 years now and > properly forwarding to the site (which I am willing to setup > officially or transfer if needed btw). I didn't even know that wxcode.org existed and is pointing to wxcode.sourceforge.net. For me mere forwarding as is would be sufficient. It would require some DNS setup to have wxcode.org as a proper alias. The following SF page explains what has to be done: https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/Custom%20VHOSTs If you are able to trigger the necessary DNS setup and don't have additional costs, I'd add wxcode.org and www.wxcode.org as VHOSTs to the wxCode project. Yes, it's still registered under Angelo Mandato (is he available to fix this?), but it's DNS records point to 68.178.232.99, which is just a GoDaddy parked domain server. This would indicate that the DNS was reset on the domain at some point possibly. >> I have actually had wxcode.org registered for 5 years now and >> properly forwarding to the site (which I am willing to setup >> officially or transfer if needed btw). > > I didn't even know that wxcode.org existed and is pointing to > wxcode.sourceforge.net. That second step was the only thing keeping me from setting it up as an official virtual host. There's no extra cost on changing my existing DNS settings, and I've done so now if you would like to add it. Regards, Bryan Petty |

According to SF documentation it will take up to 6 hours until it becomes active. Regards, Ulrich |
