Hi all, in the next foreseeable future (say 2 years) I'll be very busy (I'm taking a PhD)... I think I won't be able to handle the (honestly few) administrative tasks for the wxCode project. Is there anyone willing to take over my role in the wxCode project? The task involves: approving new components, supervise the website and the actions on the SVN/CVS repositories by the various wxCode members, provide help on this mailing list. If you think you can (after some private explanation and help from me) handle the tasks above, please contact me. Thank you very much, Francesco |

Hi all, Sorry for all questions I could not reply recently on this mailing list. Sorry for the components which have been submitted and are still pending review and approval. Sorry for the lack of support in the last months. Anyway I'm now happy to announce everyone that we've got a new administrator which I'm sure will do well: Ulrich Telle. I will try to help him as best as I can in the next period, after which I think I will resign completely from my administrator role of this project. wxCode has been a very nice experience for me. It seems yesterday to me that I proposed to the original administrator, Otto Wyss, some website changes and then actually became the new administrator, together with John Labenski. At that time I had lot of free-time (specially if compared with my current spare time!)... I was very active in wxWidgets mailing lists and in wxWidgets development, I worked a lot on bakefile, the build system of all wx-based stuff, I completed two Google Summer of Code contests, etc etc. Lots of things have happened since then... years passed by... and I'm now quite busy with PhD, with work, girlfriend and so on :) I still use wxWidgets whenever I have to do some GUI project and sometimes I take a look at wx-dev (mainly to check that Vadim, Julian, Robert etc are still there pushing on this great project!) but unfortunately I'm unable to actively partecipate in it for now. Maybe in the future I will be able again to put some efforts in it. Dear Francesco, hi all, I'd like to thank you, Francesco, for your great job as wxCode administrator over several years now. You always were willing to lend a helping hand whenever a wxCode contributor needed assistance. I'll try to tread in your footsteps as well as I can. Please allow some time to let me get myself acquainted with the administrative tasks which need to be done to keep wxCode up and running. I'm very grateful, that you, Francesco, offered to help me during my first steps in taking over the wxCode's administrator role. Once again: Thank you very much, Francesco! I wish you all the best for your PhD and for your future! I'd like to also thank Francesco for his work on wxCode's website,
administration, etc... and to apologize for my negligence in my own
tasks. Ulrich, I do still lurk here and eventually when I get some
time I would like to become more involved...

Well, let me say then that I apologize for my negligence with wxLua (for those who don't know, me, John and Klaas revived the wxLua project a few years ago and since then many people actually liked the project and are using it and John deserves almost all the credits for it! :) ).
