Hi there, I'm trying to get wwwDB running with Apache 2.0 but I have some problems. the first problem was the missing Apache::Constants so I added a use Apache::compat (); to WWWdb_TransUri.pm now apache was running again and didn't report a Server error for every page. Now when I try to access /wwwdb I always get this error: Premature end of script headers: WWWdb-0.8.3.cgi can somebody please help me ? Hallo Klaus, w=E4hrend ich dir eine Antwort schreibe kam mir die Idee: Das SuSE rcpostgresql Skript startet den postmaster OHNE die Option "-i" f=FCr die notwendige TCP Kommunikation. In meiner pg_hba.conf ist alles erlaubt. Nun bekomme ich eine Verbindung zu postgreSQL aber bekomme einen neuen Fehler: > Oops! Also noch Jemand, Welcher über die Feiertage seine Finger von der Linux-Kiste lassen kann! ;-) Das mit den Pfaden unter Suse 8.1 habe ich mittels S-Link von /etc/httpd nach /usr/local gelöst. Das Insatall-Script lief ohne Fehlermeldungen durch und ich sollte mich danach eigentlich mit: " http://localhost/wwwdb" auf dem Webserver anmelden können. Pustekuchen! :-( Dieser gibt lapidar zurück: " No requested URL /cgi-bin/WWWdb-0.8.2.cgi was not found on this server " Deshalb würde mich mal interessieren, wie Du das gelöst hast, denn ohne Login über Apache kann ich nicht sagen, ob ich eine Verbindung zur PG-DB bekomme. Hallo,
ich bin gerade dabei WWWdb auf meinem SuSE 8.1 System zu installieren.
Nachdem ich das Installationsskript f=FCr 8.1 angepasst habe =
(haupts=E4chlich
/srv/www apache Pfade usw.) l=E4uft das Skript ohne erkennbaren Fehler
durch.
Leider bekomme ich keine Verbindung mit der Datenbank so scheint es.
Bei SuSE 8.1 ist wohl postgreSQL 7.2.2 als rpm dabei, dies habe ich auch
installiert. Seltsamerweise bekomme ich den gleichen Fehler wenn ich
zuvor den postgreSQL Server mit "rcpostgresql stop" deaktiviert habe.
W=E4hrend des Installationsvorgangs schreibt das Skript in die Datenbank
und erstellt auch die Datenbank wwwdb_0_8_2 usw.
In den Meldungen in "/var/log/postgres" erscheint bei aktiviertem
Datenbankserver und postmaster logging maximal (-d 5) kein=20
Verbindungsversuch von irgendjemand also auch nicht von WWWdb oder apache.

Hallo, die Installation auf einem Suse8.1-System verlief soweit o.k., bis zur Installation von 'WWWdb'. Abbruch mit folgender Meldung: Installing WWWdb: mkdir: kann Verzeichnis >> /usr/local/httpd/cgi-bin << nicht anlegen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden command mkdir /usr/local/httpd/cgi-bin failed, Error=256 Tarballs wurden nach /usr/local entpackt und dort das INSTALL.pl-Script aufgerufen. 'httpd' ist unter /etc/ und /usr/sbin standartmäßig installiert. Wo muß ich ansetzen? mfg Holger |

Hi, I installed newest version of wwwDb without problems. I have Perl 5.8.0, apache 1.3.27 and linux with kernel 2.4.19. I installed also all required oerl modules (newest versions from CPAN). When I try to connect to my server I received message: The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. In error.log fiile for server in following lines: [Mon Dec 2 12:14:28 2002] [error] Undefined subroutine &CGI::Cache::Stop called at /var/www/html/WWWdb-0.8.2/index.pl line 4435, <CONFIG_FILE> line 252. Hallo, ich habe in der ix eine den Artikel ueber wwwdb gelesen. Da ich genau diese so eine Loesung suche habe ich mir die Quellen besorgt, die Perl-Module installiert und install.pl gestartet. Leider fehlt der Hinweis, dass DB_USER nicht nur fuer den Zugriff auf die DB zustaendig ist, sondern dass im System als regulaerer Account vorhanden sein muss. O.k. User angelegt und install.pl neu gestartet! Die Installation bricht ab mit: Now we check your apache-server: Apache-directory was not found, Sorry! Jetzt ist guter Rat teuer. /etc/httpd ist vorhanden. Leider erwartet das Script dort wohl andere Dateien. Die httpd.conf Datei liegt bei mir unter /etc/httpd/conf/... Das ist wohl nicht SUSE like! Ich nutze NUR Debian-System. Bitte veroeffentlicht doch eine allgemeine Installationsbeschreibung (ohne Script)! Hi there, I'm having a problem installing WWWdb onto my virtual server. I believe I have all the perl modules installed, but can't run the database setup script. This is the output that I get: Can't locate object method "_getSuperClasses" via package "Sorry, but the plugin -source %s does not exist!" at /usr/home/wwholida/usr/local/WWWdb-0.8.1/WWWdb/Ba se.pm line 96. Hi, I'm just playing around with wwwdb, in order to see wether it is practical for our purposes. I want to display data that comes from some data processing and is stored in tables in a MySql-database. Foreign keys should be displayed as HTML-links that point to the corresponding entry in the foreign table. How can I do this?
