When the input cell in the <thead> row is:

<td>Username<div class="outer"><div class="inner"><input type="text" /></div></div></td>

This is rewritten in Opera 9.26 under WinXP SP2 as:

<TD COLSPAN="1" ROWSPAN="1" >
<a href="#" columnId="0" tabindex="0" title="Click to sort" shape="rect" >Username</a>
<a href="#" columnId="0" tabindex="0" title="Click to sort" shape="rect" >
<DIV CLASS="outer" >
<DIV CLASS="inner" >
<INPUT TYPE="text" >
</DIV>
</DIV>
<span class="tableSortArrow" ></span>
</a>
<span class="tableSortArrow" ></span>
</TD>

Under IE6, IE7 and FF it displays as I would expect:

<td>
<div class="filtercontainer">
<div class="filter">
<input id="username" type="text">
</div>
</div>
<a title="Click to sort" tabindex="-1" columnId="0" href="#">Username</a>
<span class="tableSortArrow">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span>
</td>

Any ideas?

Thanks,
