Well... almost. 

First problem...! 

The files wvLatex, wvHtml and wvCleanLatex don't have execute permissions.
The are in the company of Makefiles, which shouldn't have...

Second problem.

In wvWare.c lines 492 and further a test is performed on config == "wvLaTeX.xml".
If the full filename contains the path (i.e. in this case $libdir/wv/), the test
fails and translation to HTML happens, though LaTeX was requested.

Proposed solution:

A. In the Makefile, get rid of paramaters XMLCONFIG and HTMLCONFIG and 
   replace them by CONFIGDIR (= /usr/local/lib/wv).

B. In wvWare.c, line 762: config=HTMLCONFIG ... somehow concatenate CONFIGDIR
   and config, into an aux.var. used only locally. config remains untouched.

C. In wvWare line 492 etc., again, locally concatenate CONFIGDIR and config
   and use that to test with.

I believe the test/fallback sequence in both places should be 

1. <current directory>/<config file asked for>
2. $CONFIGDIR/<config file asked for> 
3. $CONFIGDIR/<sensible default, e.g. wvHtml.xml> 

I would be willing to sacrifice 3. (I mean, if you want LaTeX, what good
is HTML code? Vice-versa.)

What do you think?
