Gettingwvware to compile with cygwin and nt 4

Ok, I don't know much about C/C++ and Unix, so I had a bit of trouble getting this thing to compile. I finally managed to get it up and working, here were the biggest issues:
1 - make sure that make and gcc are installed ... in cygwin do a which make and a which gcc
2 - I kept getting iconv.o file not found error when i did a make. To get around this and the other *.o file not found errors I had to go into the sub folders and do a make on the individual comopnents. Once I did this I was able to do a make on the /wv-0.6.5 folder and the whole thing compiled.

Why are you using wv-0.6.5? Try wv-0.7.1.

You will need an implementation of iconv installed. GNU libiconv is best.

The problem with peer directories not building automatically sounds like a problem with a case-insensitive file system - the makefiles were re-written at some point so that shouldn't happen any longer.

BTW, You can get libiconv and wv from the GNUWin32 project here on SourceForge.
