Now I can finally dump Codetek's VirtualDesktop, use DesktopManager, 
and upgrade Firefox!  (there's a bug between  Firefox >=0.9 and 
VirtualDesktop that makes Firefox unusable.  I've been stuck at Firefox 
0.8 since last August)

DesktopManager gurus: Please consider this patch as part of the 
standard release.
