I think some great features would be:
    random screen transitions
(since mac uses hot corners) do not switch desktops when you hit the corners, only the edges of the screen
    Bugs:
when I add or delete desktops (something about that magic number 4) it crashes, Im still able to edit the preference file to change desktop configuration and it works

Thanks for such a great program, and releasing the code, this is a wonderful adition to the macintosh community.

The hotcorner issue is fixed, Rich said that it will be released as 0.5.1.

sounds good, it just occured to me, it would be a nice feature to allow a person to switch screen by user definable corners as well, and not by the edges of the screen.

0.5.0 is a great version, I find myself using the screen edges more than anything, I disabled the pager and the menubar icons, and just use the screen edges.  I bump into them accidently occasionally though, so it would be nice to use certain corners for switching. :)

i wonder if it's at all possible to make desktop-specific docks!? i would love to be able to only see the apps running in the dock that are specific to the virtual desktop i am looking at.

This would definately be a useful *option*
        I would use it!

Also, maybe be able to have different dock configurations for each desktop.  Like, say you have two virtual desktops, one labeled internet, and the other chat.  When you switch to the internet desktop, have a dock with all your browsers, email clients, p2p icons and everything like that. Then when you switch to the desktop named chat, have a completely different dock with your instant messenger icons, and irc programs, etc. This would be nice, though I wouldnt call it a top priority.

Or maybe the option to run an applescript depending on which desktop you are on or what not, that would open doors for extensive personal configuration.

Desktop manager 5.0 is amazing, I love it.

I have a few constructive comments though,

The cursor position shifts to the opposite side with each desktop change, I would like the option to disable this.

The menubar pager (I don't have enough screen to use the desktop one) is too harsh, I suggest using grey outlines instead of black.

The desktop change bezel is great, but it should appear in the same position as the apple volume/brightness ones (its slightly down and to the left on my 1024 screen).

When I select a window (using menubar/window menu or via the dock) which is on another desktop, I would love it to fly over to the current one.- I understand this may be hard to do.

Obviously dragging windows between desktops would be a great feature.

Different desktop patterns for each window would be great.

I would like to be able to right click the statusbar to access the other options instead of having to hold control.

      Thanks.

        Wait for 0.5.1.
