Well, since you use split, you are imposing a meaningless and unnecessary restriction on your operating.  The requirement is not to never operate below DF 1500 Hz.  The requirement is not to use a modulation frequency below 1,500 Hz.

If WSJT-X is controlling the rig correctly you cannot have a modulation frequency less that 1.500 Hz at any TX DF when split is in use.
