Actually you need to remember that EVERYTHING is an antenna (that is metallic things).
So you may well need chokes on all sorts of cables. My ethenet cables were picking up a lot and I replaced them with shielded cables and grounded the the ethernet hub to to reduce some RFI I could see on the grounding system with my oscilloscope.

Yous should have chokes (even snap-ons will help) on the cabling between the radio and the computer. In my case, I have these big square snap-ons and then the excess cable is coiled up through a toroid. Common mode will always find the path of least resistance.

I suspect RFI showing up on 30M causing the problem. Chokes on the USB cables? Ethernet cables? All cables?

We both get rig control errors on 30 meters., no other bands. I turned off CI-V tranceiver mode. Made no difference. Any idea what is happening?
