Do you still get rig control errors when you use minimum (or no) power?
I suspect RFI showing up on 30M causing the problem. Chokes on the USB cables? Ethernet cables? All cables?

We both get rig control errors on 30 meters., no other bands. I turned off CI-V tranceiver mode. Made no difference. Any idea what is happening?
