Hi Dave,

thanks for that, helps a lot. The problem is now obvious, it is that the 
exchange sent field is empty.

I need to make sure that error is reported correctly with a chance to 
correct it. Clearly a contest log entry is not valid without a valid 
exchange sent and received.
