I see the proposed modifications on user manual.
Personally I think is correct to advise users the presence of temporary 
files adding a few lines in

9. Platform Dependencies
as :

Temp files (windows)
	%TEMP%\WSJT-X\*.*
	%TEMP%\WSJT-X.lock

tmp files (linux)
	/tmp/WSJT-X/*
	/tmp/WSJT-X.lock

Tmp files (OSX)
	??
