Any opinions? Anyone used wxWidgets (http://www.wxwidgets.org)? BIG suggestion, if you're going to be fully open-source, you need to ditch the Micro$oft connection. Don't use MFC. For that matter, don't use OWL or VCL either. I'm a Borland follower from as far back as Turbo C++ 3.1 simply because it wasn't MS, and I've used these in the past. While they have their followers, and they are usable in their own right, they're still proprietary libraries. Right now, I'm trying to get wxWidgets to work under the DevC++ IDE using the gcc (g++ ???) open source compiler. I may have to switch IDEs on this one, but the wxWidget test executable looks good. Take some time to consider a fully non-proprietary library and an equally-non-proptietary compiler. I'll be watching your Forge when it becomes active. Hi Guys, First off, I should introduce you to each other. Steve Randall, meet Tim Navickas. Tim Navickas, meet Steve Randall. Both of you expressed interest in helping develop this program. Since we now have 3 people, I set up a developers mailing list with the 3 of us on it. Steve expressed interest in researching documenting, and commenting the current code. To that end, I have added the 1.2 C code into the CVS repository in the wrasp module. I've also checked in the code I have for the MFC infrastructure into the wrasp32 module. I've managed to figure out the CVS/SSH stuff needed to access the SF repository. SF documents 2 ways, Cygwin or Putty. The Cygwin appears to be the easier of the two. If you need help setting this up, feel free to contact me for help. --- Wayne Johnson, | There are two kinds of people: Those 3943 Penn Ave. N. | who say to God, "Thy will be done," Minneapolis, MN 55412-1908 | and those to whom God says, "All right, (612) 522-7003 | then, have it your way." --C.S.
