Ok, I'll go ahead and change this for the 3.2.0 release then.  I agree 
that is probably the
functionality that makes the most sense.

Actually, quite a bit.  I have been terrible about getting things 
wrapped up for a release
this year, but the rate of development has been pretty consistent.
