It's been challenging. I've tried a number of LDAP plugin's and came across WPMU-LDAP. I believe its configured correctly yet regular users cannot login. The admin is still good. Debug indicates that the user account is not in the selected security group. I've tried variations on the user name including the domain\userid which seems to think then that the userid/password combo is not correct. Any suggestions/pointers? Configuration is: Wordpress 3.1.3 Buddypress 1.2.8 Windows 2008 R2 IIS 7.5 Kevin W. Gagel Network Administrator College of New Caledonia (250)562-2131 local 5448 |

Hi, Is it possible to add in a user-lookup function? We use pretty esoteric usernames (basically a random number). Often we're asked to add a person to a site (ie. "Please add Joe Blow to the blog.). Having a user lookup function would help. Thanks- Bill |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Brian Flad (bflad) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Multiple LDAP Server Support Initial Comment: Hi Folks, Here's a quick and dirty patch to use the multiple server functionality provided by the ldap_connect() PHP function with very little code change. ldap_connect accepts a space separated list of servers for connection and will work through the list if there are failures (see: http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.ldap-connect.php#88508). This helps fix our Active Directory setup where a single round-robin DNS record of the LDAP targets does not work due to SSL certificate name mismatches. I've performed positive and negative testing of single and multiple LDAP servers with expected results. I'm sure it'd be useful to change the text under the server field to say something about using a space separated list for multiple servers. Thanks for the great plugin! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=959076&aid=3090515&group_id=196841 |

Hi Aaron & WPMU Ldap users, We are considering to use the WPMU Ldap plugin on the W3C blogs [1] and tested it successfully with our server. But one thing we are looking for is a way to tie LDAP group users to a given blog (similar to the "LDAP Group Settings" page used for site wide access but on a blog level) or even better to map LDAP groups to Wordpress roles for a given blog. We saw that this feature request is quite popular and were wondering if you were still planning on implementing it in the near future (that's your "add ldap group based options" roadmap entry [2] right?) BTW, we saw a patch submission which looked like what we were looking for [3] but it's not available anymore. Thanks, Vivien [1] http://www.w3.org/blog/ [2] http://wpmuldap.tuxdocs.net/roadmap/ [3] http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2153384&group_id=196841&atid=959077 -- Vivien Lacourba World Wide Web Consortium Systems & Network Engineer http://www.w3.org mailto:vi...@w3... I am having an issue getting Wordpress 3.0 and the LDAP plugin to work with programs such as Scribefire which use XMLRPC. Is there a trick to getting this to work with the LDAP plugin? The users trying Scribefire can't login properly. Chris Kenniburg Webmaster, Dearborn Public Schools http://blog.dearbornschools.org/webmaster 313.827.3084 |

I had Wpmu-ldap 3.0 running on wp 3.0.1, but then disabled ldap authentication in the LDAP options settings. Now I'm trying to convert several Ldap users to local authentication but don't see any such option in the Edit User page in wp. Am I missing something? Looking in the wrong place? - Nathan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nathan Landis Applications Engineer Longwood University - IITS |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Edsysad (edsysad) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: New LDAP user not auto created with new site. Initial Comment: The error occurs when you try to create a new site from ../wp-admin/ms-sites.php . The blog appears to be created, but the new user create is a local user and the blog that is created doesn't work (empty tables with no roles, metadata, or user). If the user is added to the system first, then a blogs are correctly created. I imagine it is just a change in one of the functions but my php skills are weak and I can't figure it out. :( Thanks for any help you might be able to offer, you've made blogging possible for a ton of K-12 students in my school district. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 My guess is that it may be an issue with the attributes - are you using a non standard setup? What version of AD are you running? I have successfully tested against a standard 2003 setup. Can you provide what your attribute settings are mapped to? And what your groups are set to? Then i can compare on my end and see if anything jumps out. - -- Aaron On 7/27/2010 12:35 PM, Grigsby, Lance wrote: > > Just upgraded my test server to 3.0.
