#35 User rights reset

hi. I'm using LDAP v 2.8.4 with WPMU v2.8.7 and BuddyPress v1.1.3. When a new user logs in via LDAP user level/rights are set to Author. If I (as admin) change this to something else (i.e. Editor) all seams well until this user clicks to edit some page or post in a blog. Then an message is displayed saying the user doesn't have permission to edit. If I look in the admin area this users has been rest to Author level. However if I first add a user via the Admin area then changing user rights/level works OK.
