#34 like webcal, but better

I currently, as others do too, use webcal on the web. The program has some nice features, but it's incredibly slow, and processor intensive.

It would be great if someone talented, like you, were able to come up with a wordpress calendar that functioned like webcal, such as:

import ical files
export ical files
subscribe to calendar
allow for recurring events, especially yearly
look nice, work well, be a wordpress plugin
allow different calendars to display, depending on author's choice
or
allow different calendars to display on different pages.

I'm using a calendar to display material, like a blog, but by date. Events recur yearly, it would be nice to leverage wordpress to do this, rather than the under-developed webcal.

I'm using webcal at 365archive.com. See what I'm talking about.
