Hi, I downloaded the 0.5 release of the map viewer but when I click on the icon to try it, I get an error that says:

"Runtime Error!

Program: ...ngs\<user name>\Desktop\wowmapview-0.5\wowmapview.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

As you may be able to tell, I extracted all of the files to a folder on my desktop. Can you please help me with this? This looks like a really cool program.

(p.s. I have tried it in windowed mode too, only to have the same problem, thanks)

hi, this is the author of this post here. I just remembered that blizzard changed thier common.MPQ encoding around patch 2.0.1 i think. anyway, the file common.MPQ is where the majority of WoW's data is held so if they changed the encoding and wowmapview isnt updated for it, that might be the problem...

Checking in to it, i find that none of the paths in the log seems to point to the correct MPQ (as in it isn't there). So no wonder it doesn't work...
