#4 Hyperthreading incompatible

My system has a Pentium4 @ 3GHz processor with
Hyperthreading. Both wowmapview and wowmodelview freeze
on startup, and in fact they practically freeze the
entire pc. The program window itself appears, but the
3D rendering area does not show.

When I turn off the Hyperthreading option in the BIOS
both programs run fine.

I also tried setting the affinity to either CPU, but
that didn't matter.
