"Where's Wossname?" is designed with easy custom map adding in mind.
All playable maps are defined by at most two XML files and an image file, that have to be put into correct directories.
It is possible to create any playable map, not just maps of Earth. One can just as easily create a map of a popular fantasy realm, like Middle-Earth, or a map of stars and constellations.

Since maps are defined with XML files, it is possible to define a new one with any text editor. However, since version v0.3, Where's Wossname? comes with an experimental application, MapMaker, that has been purposefully built for the job. For details on using MapMaker, see MapMaker homepage.
