We should think about how to help people inter-operate, particularly when including public project files (PFs generated on public wikis).

I think the starting point here is that MW isn't recognizing GPF links
to images in the way it should, and we don't know why.

Is that right? When you say we should think about inter-operation, are
there other things included as well?

I was thinking we should think about what would happen if you wanted to include non-image files from public wikis into MW/WW pages, but I haven't tried it and don't have any specific issues in mind.
