It would be nice to incorporate a possibility of saving backup copies while the WW-page is edited (in case if connection with yushan/lalashan is lost).
Or to give a warning message to a user that the connection with the server is lost, so it is better to save some changes on the local drive.

Thanks Andrei -
I recommend the form recovery add-on for Firefox: http://getlazarus.com/
I make sure to have it installed - it remembers all the text I was
working on in the edit/preview pages, in case it gets lost and I have to
enter it again. It's also helpful for this bug tracker, which loses my
submissions a lot.
For the server side, there is a Drafts extension, which we had discussed
before (Ben requested it, I think), but at the time we couldn't try it
out because it required a newer version of MW. Might be worth trying
now. I'm cc'ing Dave here because he does that kind of thing. Dave,
maybe you want to join this thread on the bug tracker?

I'm not sure a server-side solution would work here, since the issue is connectivity to the server. This might be achieved by having the client-side form poll the server every so often via AJAX, and alert the user on failure, as well as having the submit and preview actions done via AJAX. That way the page wouldn't get reloaded until it knows the content has been saved.
I don't know off-hand if there exists an extension that does that.
