Lee, I will try to explain more clear the problem, since it disturbs me a long period of time already.
If you use the external editor and edit the WW-page, then the very first edit of the page and the subsequent one after clicking to preview the page would give you two different files (and, consequently, two different tabs) in your external editor. However, if you choose the option to get the preview of the page at the very first edit, it would give you the same: also two different files and two different tabs in your external editor. Would it possible somehow to fix that in order to get the same file for editing?
This seems a small problem, but sometimes you edit the page not once and it can give you a mess.
Thank you in advance

I think this problem has been solved by Lee using a Monobook.js
something. I am on a train now. Please try searching for Monobook on
the projects wiki, and let me know if it does not work.

Copy that code to User:(yourself)/monobook.js, on each wiki you want to
use it on. It will make it so that those pages share a single file in
the external editor. (Tested in Firefox, maybe not in Chrome.)
Thanks a lot! I am going to check it
For the record, here is the documentation (found using Google!) http://yushan.mcmaster.ca/theobio/projects/index.php/It%27s_all_text.
we should link to that from our Tips and Tricks page. I looked there
and didn't find it.

By all means feel free. My thinking at the time was it's only
relevant if you're using an external editor.

#404Dave Leaman has written a MW extension to handle this for all users on all wikis on our site, so the Monobook.js thing is no longer needed. Please contact Dave for any further issues with this.
Yes, this is no longer an issue on any lalashan wikis. For the record, the extension that fixes this is called ActionEditSubmit; I intend to make it publicly available soon.
