#27 Sometimes unable to start external program

Sometimes worker is unable to start just any external program (like a shell, an editor...)
Error popup tells "Error while writing command file ! Can't execute external program."

Restarting worker solves the issue, but all open tabs are lost etc

Unsure if this is somehow related to NFS issues in our company, and possibly some directory disappering.

-> Where is such an external script written to ?
-> Can this be somehow configured ?

The temp files are created in /tmp by default, but if the environment variable TMPDIR is set, it will use that directory instead.
The latest Worker version can save tab profiles and restore them manually, or you can tell Worker to save and restore them every time automatically in the "initial directories" settings.

Turns out our IT cleans up /tmp from time to time :-(
Re-creating /tmp/worker-$USER manually solves the issue without need to restart worker
