Installation

• Transfer the plugin directory to the '/wp-content/plugins/' directory.

• Navigate to the desired post or page in the admin panel to insert footnotes.
• Locate the ‘CM Footnotes - Definitions’ metabox by scrolling down.
• Create a unique footnote ID, which can only include letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores, colons, and dots.
• Enter the definition for your footnote.
• Insert the shortcode [cm_simple_footnote id="1"] at the appropriate spot within your content to link to the footnote. Ensure the “id” in the shortcode corresponds with your defined ID.
• If necessary, continue to add definitions for additional footnotes.
• Confirm your changes by saving.

Important Note: Your theme must include a 'wp_head()' call for the footnote JavaScript and CSS to function properly. If your theme lacks this feature, you will need to manually incorporate these files into your theme’s code, which is generally not advised.
