#32 Statistics not showing unless file was previously opened

When loading a project in Project Manager window, statistics are empty for all files. The Statistics toolbar button and View->Statistics do not work.
Statistics are only displayed when the file is opened for editing.
I would expect statistics to get populated as soon as I open the project (probably with a warning dialog telling the user whether he wants to do that, since it can take some time), without having to open each file individually. SOme projects can have hundreds of files, so it's not comfortable having to open each one to find out how much is left to translate.
