Hi, Before I start digging into the generated SQL via MySQL debug mode, has anyone else experienced this? I have a table called “Tag” In my migrations code, I am adding an index to this table: ERXMigrationTable tagTable = database.existingTableNamed("Tag"); tagTable.addIndex("Parent_FK_IDX", "parentFK"); The moment that runs, the table name has been lower-cased to ‘tag’ (as viewed in SequalPro) Experimenting, I found that using ‘addUniqueIndex’ does _not_ cause the same issue. I am running: Wonder version: 6.1.4-SNAPSHOT mysql-connector-java-5.1.35-bin.jar While I am here: 1) I recently upgraded to the latest (stable) Wonder version, is 6.1.4 the right one? Or should it be 7.x ? 2) Are mixed case table names a bad idea? I used to make all tables lowercase, but decided to changed this for new projects. Thanks, Mark |

Look at the exception in your report. Your server does not have ERXExtensions.framework. Either it's not bundled in your project or installed as a separate framework. That would cause your ERXApplication class to fail. Wonder contributers (to whom I'm grateful), I have just installed a new version of Wonder frameworks from source cloned today. I have found an error in that erxservletadaptor.jar is missing from the installed ERJars.framework. I compiled using the cli commands: ant frameworks; sudo ant frameworks install I note that this change was recently made: "Replaced erxservletadaptor.jar by its source file ERXServletAdaptor.java." I suspect this is related to the problem I found. Thanks, Edward Merry |

Hi, just to give another angle that has bitten me in the past: do both connects run with exactly the same classpath and JDBC versions? Do you have any insight in the "other side", i.e. the MySQL server logs (looking for auth issues, host filtering etc.)? The plot thickens… I have my main machine back and the openChannel issues are not vexing that setup so I’m digging through config differences to find the culprit. Oddly though, the connection succeeds in the framework, but not in the app. I stuck an ERXJDBCConnectionAnalyzer.analyzeConnection() call in the initialize() method of the framework principal class for the framework that holds my EO’s. I do some default group manipulation in initialize(), but but nothing too exotic. No more info in the exception or stack trace? What DB are you using and are you sure the JDBC-driver is in the classpath? There’s a class by Chuck in Wonder called ERXJDBCConnectionAnalyzer. I haven’t used it but it looks like you should be able to just construct an instance by passing in the model name, and then wait for it to tell you about life, universe and everything. - hugi > On 8. maí 2015, at 18:12, Larry Mills-Gahl <el...@gm...> wrote: > > I had a video card die on Monday and I’m working on a backup computer now and am having an problem with some of the launch configurations in eclipse. > > On most of my launch configurations, I have trouble with EODatabaseContext unable to obtainOpenChannel > > In logging out the connection dictionary, it appears identical between the configs that work and the ones that don’t > > Does anybody have other options to investigate or is this really a connection dictionary issue (that I just haven’t found yet) > > > > Larry Mills-Gahl > el...@gm... > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > One dashboard for servers and applications across Physical-Virtual-Cloud > Widest out-of-the-box monitoring support with 50+ applications > Performance metrics, stats and reports that give you Actionable Insights > Deep dive visibility with transaction tracing using APM Insight. > http://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/290420510;117567292;y_______________________________________________ > Wonder-disc mailing list > Won...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wonder-disc |

I had a video card die on Monday and I’m working on a backup computer now and am having an problem with some of the launch configurations in eclipse. On most of my launch configurations, I have trouble with EODatabaseContext unable to obtainOpenChannel In logging out the connection dictionary, it appears identical between the configs that work and the ones that don’t Does anybody have other options to investigate or is this really a connection dictionary issue (that I just haven’t found yet) Larry Mills-Gahl el...@gm... |

Hi Team, We have upgraded Project Wonder frameworks from 5.4 to 6.1.3 version. And the application is built using Java 1.6 version and also the server environment is having Java 1.6 version. When we tried to launch the application, it is loading all the classpath jars but not launching the application. No errors are generated, the following is the launch log: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reading UNIXClassPath.txt ... Hi Group, As of now Localizable.strings file needs to place in Resources folder in "Lang".lproj directory under Resources. But we have a requirement to place these files in one more directory level up, which is shown below: Resources --customerone --English.lproj --Localizable.strings --customertwo --English.lproj --Localizable.strings Please let me know, how do we achieve this? Thanks in advance, Sreenivasulu Arveti. |

Hi, We are deploying on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, so it looks like we have to use Apache 2.4 (Apache/2.4.7) We have built the correct adaptor, and it pretty much works as expected. But, after a while, Apache appears to stall. The apache error log states: — [Fri Mar 20 17:27:57.342752 2015] [:error] [pid 22139:tid 139805346232064] Invalid response! Hi everyone. I'm new in WebObjects programming and I'am developing an authentication and authorization management app. I have been oriented towards Ponder but the problem is that I do not know how to start with it as there is no documentation. I would like an explanation of the different components of this framework, and also how to use it in my app. Thank you. |

Hi guys, Sorry for the late reply. ERXExistsQualifier doesn’t play well with compound keys. It is a shortcoming. In our projects we never user compound keys. Anytime we have many-to-many we make a simple primary key plus the additional two foreign keys. Invariably… the join table becomes something more important anyway. Hi list, after some test, I've decided to use these methods: @Override *public* *void* didInsert() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub *super*.didInsert(); LogAttivita.createLogAttivita(editingContext(), LogAttivita.AZIONE_INSERT, *new* NSTimestamp(), *this*.export().toString(), entityName(), *this* .primaryKey(), ((Session)Session.session()).logged().nomeutente()); editingContext().saveChanges(); } @Override *public* *void* willUpdate() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub *super*.willUpdate(); *try*{ validateForUpdate(); LogAttivita.createLogAttivita(editingContext(), LogAttivita.AZIONE_UPDATE, *new* NSTimestamp(), *this*.export().toString(), entityName(), *this* .primaryKey(), ((Session)Session.session()).logged().nomeutente()); }*catch*(ValidationException e){} } @Override *public* *void* didDelete(EOEditingContext ec) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub *super*.didDelete(ec); LogAttivita.createLogAttivita(ec, LogAttivita.AZIONE_DELETE, *new* NSTimestamp(), *this*.export().toString(), entityName(), *this* .primaryKey(), ((Session)Session.session()).logged().nomeutente()); ec.saveChanges(); } The LogAttivita entity is simply a table that save the datas of the object, the event and the timestamp. Thanks to Paul for the advice!
